American Freight expands into Utah with SLC locations

Appliance and furniture retailer American Freight is expanding its presence into a new state: Utah.

The retailer is expanding its footprint of stores into the Beehive State with four locations in Ogden, Layton, Orem and Logan, all in the Salt Lake City metro area. The 23,000-sq.-ft. Odgen store is slated to open first, with a grand opening celebration scheduled for Nov. 10-12. According to recent data from the U.S. Census Bureau, Utah is one of the nation’s fastest-growing states.

“Identifying locations that are convenient for our customers and selectively locating stores in those markets is key to our nationwide expansion strategy,” said Peter Corsa, CEO of the Home segment of FRG Inc., the parent company of American Freight. “We’re thrilled to bring our wide selection, great value and excellent service to Utahns for the first time.”

Located at 4113 Riverdale Road, the new Ogden location offers a wide variety of furniture, mattresses and appliances from well-known national brands, along with a full range of flexible financing options and same-day delivery for all in-stock items. American Freight store associates will be available to provide expert, personalized assistance to customers, who can use the augmented reality (AR) technology on the company’s website to visualize how furniture will look in their own home before purchasing.

Customers who purchase appliances can also opt to have the American Freight team of trained installers deliver, hook up and test their new appliance, as well as show them how to use it before hauling away their old item. In addition, the store will showcase a large assortment of affordable, open-box appliances from nationally known manufacturers that have been tested and certified by American Freight’s trained technicians.
